Capturing How Life Can Be Seen
After completing my studies in photography, film, and graphic design during the ’80s in my native county the Netherlands I continued to work as a commercial photographer for over a decade. I swayed from what I actually wanted to do, which was to work as a photojournalist. Instead, I plunged myself into studio life to (help) shoot high-budget campaigns for some of the world’s best-known brands.
After moving to Australia in 1995 I pretty much dropped camera work in favour of concept and design work. I went ‘corporate’. Although I kept my distance from cameras until 2025 – twenty years later! – my love for imaging never waned.
